Feasibility Study of Andkhoi Irrigation Project, Afghanistan

The aim is to determine and design the most suitable project formulation for the effective irrigation of agricultural lands in the Andkhoi region, whose livelihood is based on agriculture. Andkhoi City currently uses the water potential of Shirin Tagap River. However, Shirin Tagap River is almost drying up around Andkhoi and it is not possible to make an effective agriculture with this water potential. For this reason, the water potential of the Ceyhun River, which passes through the Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan border line from the north of the Project area, will be utilized.
