Arakali Weir & HPP, Georgia

This is a BO project licensed by the Ministry Of Economic Development Of Georgia- Department Of Urbanization And Construction. The site of the Arakali weir is at 1993.00 m. thalweg, 1996.00 m. Crest elevation over the Paravani River, right at the downstream of Sagamo
River. Final design of a regulator, supply canal, forebay and hydroelectricity power house are proposed within the scope of the project. According to this formulation, waters of River Paravani that will be taken with a closed rectangular section canal, length ~12600 m. and base slope 0.0006, to the supply canal by Arakali weir will be taken to the forebay and then to the penstock, length ~2095 m. and inner diameter 1.65 m., and dropped to Arakali HPP at a tailwater elevation of 1834.00 m.
