Demir Weir and HEPP Project is a “run-of-the-river plant” type project consisting of a concrete body type weir high above 16,50 m from thalweg with water intake structure, conveying channel, headpond, penstock and powerhouse. At the beginning and at the end of headrace tunnel, there is a rectangular channel with a length of 2876,68 m and a trapezoidal channel length of 2440,00m with 0.0003 slopes. At the end of the conveying channel there is a headpond at 8.00m wide, 24.00 m long and at a depth of 4,02 – 4,36 m. There is a 263,00 m long and 1.60 m diameter penstock between the headpond and the powerhouse.
