Ergani Dam has an open canal water conveyance system and is intended for irrigation purposes. The project aims to irrigate 1874 ha gross area in Ergani Plain. Ergani Dam is a roller compacted concrete fill type dam with a height of 55.00 m above the foundation and a crest elevation of 918.00 m. The crest length of the dam is 225.00 m and its width is 10.0 m. After the completion of the Ergani Dam, 11.92 hm3/year water will be released to the Ergani Plain.
