It is a hydroelectric project on the Seyhan river in Adana, licensed by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources with the build-operate-transfer model. It is a dam type cylinder compacted concrete body, with a height of 71 m from the foundation and a crest length of 256.5 m. The inner diameter of the diversion tunnel is 6.00 m and its total length is 317 m. There are two penstocks, each 4.00m in diameter and 110m in length. The spillway on the dam body is controlled by 3 radial covers. The power House has two vertical axis Francis type turbines with a total installed power of 71.4 MW. With this total installed power, 63m gross head, and 127.5 m3/s flow rate, it can produce 220.9 GWh of energy annually. The project, the construction of which started on 05.03.2007, was commissioned on 24.12.2010 and is still in operation since this date.
