İkizdere HPP Project is in Rize city, it is still operation. With the rehabilitations to be made in İkizdere HEPP facilities, which was put into operation in 1961, the existing plant flow rate 13,16 m3/s increased to
17,80 m3/s, 18.6 MW installed capacity increased to 25,78 MW.
Rehabilitations within the scope of the project:
• Repairs at the modification level for two Weirs, maintenance of gate and grilles,
renewal of gate lifting systems, prepare the fish passage to weirs.
• Cover to inner surface with steel of the headrace tunnels with total lengths (754m +
3337m = 4091,0m).
• Increasing the active volume from 32 m3 to ~570 m3 by enlarging where it is headpond.
• Replacing the lower half of the Penstock and the entire branch region.
• Demolished of the old powerhouse then replaced by a new powerhouse with 2 units.
