Preventing or reducing the effects of floods which affect economy adversely is necessary to promote economic and cultural development of Kızılırmak Basin which has a drainage area of 82 221 km2 corresponding to 10.49 % of TURKEY. Kızılırmak Basin covers the whole area of Kırıkkale and Kırşehir Cities, most part of Kayseri, Nevşehir, Çankırı, Sivas, Yozgat and Kastamonu Cities, a part of Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Çorum, Konya, Niğde, Samsun, Sinop and Tokat Cities.
Services Offered
- Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment completed to determine the risky areas,
- 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling studies completed following the surveying on the river beds,
- Flood Water Depth Maps and Hazard Maps were generated,
- Flood risk maps were generated,
- Flood evacuation maps generated,
- ‘’Flood Management Plan’’ was prepared to determine the precautions which should be taken before, during and after the flood events.
