Project is located on the Kelkit Creek within boundary of Tokat province.
The dam has a clay core rockfill body with a height of 66.50 m from the foundation. The diversion is provided by a conduit and a tunnel. The horseshoe section tunnel with an inner diameter of 6.30 m will serve as a bottom weir and washing tunnel during operation. Located on the right bank, the Spillway will safely discharge the largest possible flood downstream. The energy water intake structure is connected to the power house with two penstocks with a length of approximately 200 m. One of the penstocks splits along its direction and feeds the eco turbine.
