The project consists of two parts as Lower and Upper Çetin.
Upper Çetin is the first asphalt core rockfill dam in Turkey and has a 160 m high body. The spillway, designed on the left bank, has a discharge capacity of 4,698 m3/s. Each of the two diversion tunnels on the right bank has an inside diameter of 8.00 m and a length of approximately 800 m. The inner diameter of the penstock is 8.4 m, and its length is 336.65 m.
Lower Çetin is a concrete weighted dam 40 m high from the foundation.
