This is a build-operate-transfer BOT project licensed by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR). The hydropower scheme consists of a power plant located at the toe of a 122 m high embankment dam, impounding a total storage capacity of 3,476 hm3. The spillway is designed for 5,500 m3/s discharge (PMF). The main power structures are a 245 m long and ø7.0 m diameter lined (Reinforced Concrete) power tunnel, and a 215 m long and ø 5.0 m diameter penstock. The ø6.5m diameter diversion tunnel has been transformed into a bottom outlet.
